In the twenty first century it has become essential for businesses to have a video that they can use to promote themselves.  In fact many consumers have suggested that if a company doesn’t have a video they are much less likely to seriously consider spending money with them.  Video has become the business critical marketing tool.

So what is it about videos that can make a business so appealing and how can you include them as part of your marketing mix?

Firstly, a video should be created to show potential customers what you do, how you do it and why they should choose you over your competitors.  So much commerce now occurs over the internet and in most cases it is faceless but consumers want to be reassured that they are working with good solid companies who are experts in their chosen field.

A second way to use video in your business is to create a tutorial for one of your products. This is great for companies that sell products that require some explanation or need a little bit of self-assembly. Service industries can also benefit from video immensely, particularly with a ‘how to’ that relates to what you offer customers.

So once you have your video made up, what should you do with it?

Thankfully the modern internet era means that there are many places where you can post your videos.  For example, you could put it on your own company website and you could also ask other people within your business network to post it.  YouTube is a great place to post ‘how to’ videos and they can reach hundreds of thousands of people.  Each viewer remember is a potential customer. And let’s not forget Video brochures!  Because video brochures can be personally delivered to potential customers they have great reach and are an excellent way to show new clients how innovative and professional you are.
