Anyway you count it $20 Million is a lot of money but that’s the target Ronald McDonald House set for themselves in their quest to build a fully equipped home for families of children suffering from chronic illness.
The goal was to provide a home-away-from-home environment so families could remain together to help deal with the challenges of these terrible diseases. $20 Million may have sounded overly optimistic but a well-planned campaign featuring a hardworking video brochure saw a staggering $19 Million pledged on the very first day!
The story became so big it made the Channel 7 ‘Good News Story’ of the day and we couldn’t agree more.
So congratulations to all and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make a big difference to those courageous kid’s lives.
